It is of my opinion that this should happen as little as possible. It seems to undermine the whole game, if something happens, go with it. STs have the power to do anything, it seems that even if a 'bad' call is made it is better to continue with it than to go back and undo it. Just go with it and use it for RP purposes. I can think of very few reasons why red lining should be necessary.

Cheating is one of the reasons that come to mind.

Another reason to redline is negating a metagame action.
Even a mistaken one, that isn't a cheat.
Like that time we were supposed to all be in a limo at conclave, and didn't realize/remember that, so ran a scene with Lauren that couldn't have happened because were all actually in the limo at the time.
Lauren's character oughtn't to use results of a scene that her player now nows, but her character couldn't have learned yet because the innitial plotline is correct while the tangent one needs to be cut out.

Location: Insert witty remark here saying a location without actually listing one

There are certain circumstances where the st's meet together and decide on if a questionable scene due to a reason (which the reason varies) wether or not a scene gets redlined. I will bring it up with other st's about maybe possibly getting a redline veto for a scene within reason. I will not garuntee this but I think it is a good idea for the players to have some control over if something gets redlined. However, if a scene gets redlined most of the time I can garuntee you it is for a good reason. The option to redline a scene is discussed thouroghly and the pro's and cons are weighed in.

No I didn't agree with that redlining either. Bruce was running scenes with other people (The female Baron I believe) texting them and I did the same thing. It was just what I was doing could have gotten us all killed even though it was just a text. But that's what high humanity and roleplaying does for you sometimes. Sometimes you don't make the smartest decision, but what your character would do. I prefer the whole roleplaying thing over the dying thing. It's a game and called roleplaying for a reason.

No, I was in that scene too. We didn't just fire her off a warning note or whatnot, we were conversing for awhile between the three of us until we broke for lunch; which you loaned me 10 bucks for.

Hey, I just walked into a bomb on account of high humanitas and the like. I was another characters choice away from final death. Still, its different when a player chooses an action that might result in the sacrifice of his own character for the sake of good rp, then it is if they choose to take an action that might result in the loss of all the present players characters. Especially without consulting those characters/players first.

If we were in the limo texting where the others could see us, they would have a right to react to our decision on the spot. Because we ran the scene away from them, they were unaware what we were up to. 'Surprise we're all dead, huh, what, why' would have really ruined our day and been unfair to the others. It was an expensive trip that one too.

In light of that I'm inclined to agree that particular redline was not only a just call, but actually was a favor, so we don't return from our very first conclave ever all having to GNC. Besides which, I was happy with the post conclave political situation too. We manages to befriend two groups of anarchs, and impress the court of storms as well as other visiting camies. You even got to dance with the prince.

Ahhh, good times. that was fun weekend conclave was.
