It was still some time before the region's get-together, but already the Gangrel felt overly anxious. D's invitation to the Club didn't go unnoticed, but it wasn't exactly the easiest thing for her to do.
She wore a rockabilly-esque black ruffled dress with white polka dots, and a pair of tasteful heels. She held a small white clutch; earrings and a necklace accentuated her hair which was tone in a classic up-do held back with a white lace-and-gem ribbon.
She looked around. _________________ Dana |

Deidrick had made arrangements on the fly, his family's Club was always one of the best around.
Dana would be met by a hostess and brought up to a private dining area.
The long table, with white table cloth was generously set with fine silver and many exotic delicacies.
D himself sat at one of the sides of the table having a conversation with a waiter about the Caviar.
"Excuse me sir, but when a lady enters, it is formal for me to stand."
::He stands as Dana makes her entrance:: |

If the Kindred could have blushed, her face showed that she would have. She had one arm gently crossed over her waist and that hand lightly gripped her arm. "Thank you for inviting me," she said politely with warmth. "You flatter me." _________________ Dana |

::as Dana approaches D makes his way to the seat he has chosen for her directly across from where he originally sat. He slides her chair back gracefully inviting her to sit.::
"Miss Dana, as my Sire always said, 'Flattery will get you no where.' This is not to flatter you, but to show you the finer side of things. To open your mind if you will."
:: D smiles warmly:: |

She looked at him with a curious look, then quietly took the proffered chair. "I'm awed at how beautiful this place is," she said quietly. "It's amazing." _________________ Dana |

:: D Smiles as he tucks her chair in and then joins her at the table sitting across from her.::
"This establishment was built to Honor the lost Childe of my sister of the Blood, Isabella Bardonia. "
:: D pauses a moment, places his hands crossed on the table and bows his head, eyes closed, as a sign of respect for the decedent:: |

She seemed to awkwardly cast down her eyes for a moment, not saying anything. _________________ Dana |

"comment dites vous," she said quietly, watching him. Her eyes followed him, and she looked down from time to time at her own setting. _________________ Dana |

::Whether Dana has eat food or not D understands and of course doesn't want her to eat if she cannot, but he goes into how to hold utensils, and glasses showing her gracefully and patiently each step of the way.:: |

She definitely shies away from any food item, but she goes through the motions with each of the items as he instructs. She seems an apt pupil, but he can tell that she struggles with some of his instructions, and her face has the hint about it of something uncomfortable. _________________ Dana |

"It's just that -" she looked up, setting her hands in her lap. "You're being ver kind, and that's appreciated," she said politely. "But I'm afraid you're going to teach all of this to me, and I'm just going to forget it all." She seemed to sign a little. "I don't want to embarrass you." _________________ Dana |

:: D Smiles::
"Dana, its ok, what we're gonna do now is some Mnemonic Devices to help you remember. You'll be the most gracious one at the table form hence forth."
"If you've ever heard the book the Great Gatsby, and how "classy" they are, you can use GATSBY to remember this;
'Girl Always Takes Seat Before You'
Meaning you, as a lady should always sit before a man does, and men who do are obviously uncivilized.
The next one we'll discuss is FORKS
F for Fork (the salad fork goes outside the regular fork, if you use both)
O is for the round plate (okay, that one's a stretch, but you can handle it)
R and to the Right of the plate:
K is for the Knife and
S is for the Spoon
Another easy to remember one, if you're not sure which glass would be yours or which bread plate is yours would be this;
:: D Makes a Hand gesture::
Your left hand will make a lower case 'b' for bread and your right will make a 'd' for drink. This way you'll never accidentally get a neighbors bread or drinking glass. |

"That's easy to remember." She smiled, letting her hands lose the shapes she had made at his instruction. A lighthearted demeanor came over her again, and she continued to smile.
"Thank You," she said kindly. _________________ Dana |
