As the house rules have been changing as of late may we please get a new updated copy of the house rules.
Also it has been brought to my attention that people are being 'penalized' for being late.
I have issues on this on two counts.
#1, my character tends to show up fashionably late. This is intentional and part of the character and roleplaying. I don't feel I should be penalized for this, as it is part of the character herself and it is silly for me to show up and sit around and do nothing. A big reason for this is to get properly into costume for the character it can take around 2 hours. While this may be a minor annoyance, I believe proper costuming improves the roleplaying experience and while the player is paying the full amount of money for being there a partial amount of time or not, it's counter productive to penalize a player, for putting more time and effort and energy into making this roleplaying experience, as well as utr great.
In addition, I would like to note often times I am driving all over New York before game and have often been known to pick up people from by not limited to, the Bronx, Ossining, White Plains, and even Long Island.
It is my opinion that we should ENCOURAGE and not penalize players who are helping other players arrive at game. In fact we should encourage people to help other players GET to game.
I suggest we give extra exp for those who do car pool, who pick others up, and who give up their time, gas, and energy to help make game happen. This would be more beneficial as a reward based system, instead of a penalizing system.
We are trying to grow the game back to the former size and status that it once was. Let us do that by embracing helping each other and new players.
Finally I do think there should be a system in place so new players CAN make characters at game. If a new person comes to game and they do not have a character sheet, they are going to leave because they will be unable to play and that is one less future member of utr.
Let us be nice to the new players, and to those of us that make an effort to help other players get to game.
Thanks.
I would also like to note. Some people like me have class on Sunday morning and still make the effort to show up. The "lateness" policy undermines all of that. |

Mike,
We want to encourage people to show up on Time. I do not believe there is a Penalty, short of the fact that the ST's won't be able to work with you before game, and during the game we will be working with those there. So if you need to have questions answered, you might have to wait. I will leave it really up to Bruce to be sure about it. _________________ AST

Ok, per the house rules you get 3 for attendance. Less are we "Penalizing" late people, as we are "rewarding" punctual people who stay start to finish with a bonus xp.
Why should someone who's only at game an hour or two, get the same as someone who's been there 6?
We're not penalizing the late person or the person who has to leave early, we are showing our appreciation to those that make it all the way through. |

I thought it was 4 for attendance xp in house rules.
That was one of the major crux points of the whole buisness that led to our major re-chartering.
@Mike, if a newbie can't have their own character ready by game-on, they don't have to sit out. On my first day, Bruce let me play one of the npc hunters in the warehouse you lot raided. Newbies can experience the game then finish their character in time for the next game. It might even be beter that way; let someone really new to system and genre play another charactes ghouls or something for the first game just to let them see all the different clans and character builds in action to give them a better idea of which one they'd most enjoy playing. _________________ "My Girls is clean and kind spirited".

These house rules have been in effect since Feb of 2010, her'es the copy and paste. i dont see how this issue is coming up now....
Earning Experience:
4xp Full Attendance, Opening
Announcement to Game wrap-up
3 xp Partial Attendance. (leaving early or arriving late)
1-4xp EOG Writeups. (NOTE XP for said eog is rewarded after
it is received and cannot be spent until the following
month.)
1 xp Player Nominated Best RP or Costume
1 XP ST Nominated Best RP or Costume
3xp New Player Bonus. If you Bring a new player, and they
stuck it out for 3 games, you get 3xp. No bonus for
convincing someone to try once and never showing up again.
XP Given as the STs see fit for anything they see fit.
(Forum Scenes, helping game out)
EOG writeups are due exactly 2 weeks before the following game.
Usually that means 2 weeks after, but may sometimes mean 3
depending on how the month falls.
Any xp expenditures may still be considered should the Staff have had the time to review it, but assume any plot moving things or background expenditures to occur the following downtime session.
NO ST likes Novels, but you also won't get the full 4 xp for write up if you put 2 lines.
-For example please see area labeled EOG- |

Thanks.
Well I do still suggest rewarding people for car pooling, especially those who are driving all over to pick people up. Even if it only offset the lateness bonus.
Well I could go pick up so and so and LOSE an exp, or I could arrive at game on time. >>
Also are we still doing exp for long distance travel to game? |

Mike, If you are indeed bring a full car with you that you had to travel all over to pick them up. I am sure, us the staff will take that into account. The same would go for if you are traveling a far distance to another game. I couldn't see giving it for UTR. But if you had to travel quite a time for another game, then yes i could see some bonus xp applying. Let us know where you might be traveling and we can let you know.
