Is it really true that kindred must or even can stay off of the visual grid? Besides the advent of a camera on every street corner and traffic light, elevator and checkout counter; are there no kindred underwear models, porn stars, christian evanngelical revivalists, and others in network televison or with youtube channels, with fame enough to attract paparatzi?

It seems that in the world of today, it's not staying off camera that counts, but keeping your true nature hidden. The known dead have it worst, as well as those of low humanity, or are on paths, etc. For hose who can maintain a mortal identity however the real problem with this digital world, is that those records last indefinitly, and so one must take car ein appearing to age, and replacing oneself with ones "son" occasionally or going underground for a lifetime or two between active intervals.

In short,
do we have any official rules, ic or ooc pertaining to kindred on camera?
eg, can I give press conferences in person rather than via a ghoul without it counting as a breach automatically?

I wont yet mind you, but just curious.

The safest Policy is to not be caught on camera. Even safer is to not be caught on camera doing something stupid that pisses another vampire off and give them ammo to frame you for a breech. There are no houserules on IC actions, and never will be.

How 'bout OWBN or MET generic rules from OOC persprective or else IC setting based rules; that is dcrees from the ivory tower or the like?

For example, that Malkavian Primogen and more so the huge man she was riding was pretty ticked off about a photo of Allura poping up on youtube. They got it right down and came over to reprimand us for it.

I can't imagine however, that it would have been the first time such an event occured.
Any guest with a cell phone these days can snap copies of any picture in the gallery as well as any attractive member of staff, even that sexy curator Wink

s and post them to their facebook albums and the like.

It's possible that hundreds or even thousands of pictures of me or, of pictures of pictures of Allura and any other kindred who may have modled or portraits, are presently floating about the net. I have a toreador novel in which a tremere posed for a sculpture, after seen another sculpture the toreador did of his sire in his workshop. So there is precident in the canon of kindred posing for the arts, but all those pieces were displayed in elysium, which might be kindred only area, so no breech.

Is this a bigger problem than I think it is or is "alternate identity" meant to cover for this all the way. That or should it be presumed that any kindred specific art I might have is speciffically on the 3rd floor or in the basement and those areas are actually closed to the public. So the pictures of Allura for example haven't actually ever been seen by any mortal visitors?

mkay as far as OWBN...i don't know of any official rules, from what i've seen from other games etc. its mainly up to ST discression. which i imagine is the case for UTR.

Think Charles. You're an artist. You're supposed to be bringing revolutionary art to the world. And instead you put me on a T-shirt and now you're thinking of a cup.

Put me on a ruby, in a statue, immortalize me in something unique and creative. Cups are tactless and awful and not creative at all.

If you want money, just hold a banquet filled with rich people and use majesty and ask for money. Sell something. But certainly not me.
