Lily wanders into Harley's and honeys, looking a bit dazed and put off. She notices Charles and Simon there having a conversation, and frowns. She walks over to them.

"Mr. Simon? Mr. Rockledge? Goodness I swear It feels like I just left you two! My sense of time must be lacking right now...How are you both doing since I last saw you?"

She takes a seat by the two of them, still frowning slightly.

Yeah, so Simeons a tad upset with me bcause I'm exploiting Sniffles in an attempt to hammer home the point to the community at large that we need to establish some formalised concepts of law and order around here. Many folk are of the mistaken impression that codifying 'law and order' is too Camish and Anarch shouldn't do it. That's sily says I, as Anarchs and the Camarilla are only half a millenia or so old, while law and order has existed for 6000 years or so. It's what helps make a society great.

Anyway, I'm throughing the book at Sniffles, as much of a book as we happen to have at this point to illistrate the fact that no, anarchs can not do 'whateverthe hell they want to, and call it the protected right of libertas without any limits whatsoever. Anarchs can only do whatever the hell they want to and call it the protected right of libertas up to the point where it begins to infringe on other anarchs doing whatever the hell they want and calling it the protected right of libertas.

That is, there is a point when in order to protect as much individual freedom as possible from being taken away by the opressors, the collective must be powerful enough to keep the oppressors from bothering to. The collective can only be powerful when its participants willingly aknowledge the social contract that at a certain point the needs of the collective in terms of saftey, strenght and security must take precendint over the needs of the individual.

A law like the masquerade is the best example of a law that inhibits ones own personal freedom, yet at the same time protects all the rest of ones own personal fredom by ensuring the survival and potency of the the collective. My long speechmaking is to boring to get through to many of the anarchs, so I'm hoping this trial will be a noticable example to shock them into realising the importance of this main point.

When the importan buisness is over with; rescuing allura, defeating moloch and the carthaginians, etc. I want us all to sit down and come up with a real charter/constitution with bill of rights etc, to clarify with soem detail exactly what is a personal freedom protected under libertas, and what is not, becaus eit constitutes a great enough threat to the health and welfare of the collective that to allow one anrch to do these things risks all the anrchs being wiped out or conquored and so loosing there personal freedoms entirely.

Sniffles represents a case of someone doing things that may be taking the concept of personal freedom too far. I want to see how many anarchs feel his right to do them anyway is more imortant than our right to live free and safe from those else who would react unfavorably to what sniffles gets himself up to. If nothing else it will help me understand exactly who my voterbase is.

Simon worries it's too much the sort of people who wont want me to represent them if I try and persuade them to hard to keep their 'bad' behavior in check. I on the other hand don't neccesarily care if they decide they want to pick a some of a bitch to replace me. I have my own integrity to think of, and I dislike being 'in-charge' of a place where people are gonna start telling me its perfectly allright for anyone, anarchs or otherwise to go around torturing and pillaging and murdering and raping or whatever the mortals because of libertas, and claiming it doesn't matter just because they're mortals.

As far as I'm concerned, there is a point where you have to decide if you are good or evil, and that if you choose evil, you should just join the sabbat, beccause 'Anarchs have the right to be evil' doesn't fly with me. Anarchs have the responsability not to 'be evil' because 'evil' isn't freedom'. Evil is just 'acting out' until the 'good guys' come along to kill you. The problem is that when that happens, they kill all of the rest of us too.

The last batch of hunters blew up my museum for no good reason, just because I live there, and am a vampire, never mind how much I do for widows and orphans and such.

Sniffles sent those hunters right down my throat and the throats of everyoen else at the hotel gathering. I may believe in tempering justice with mercy, but I also believe in tempering mercy with prudence. Sniffles is a very dangerous man. I am more concerned with the danger he poses to the collective as oppsoed to whether or not he has the right to be a son of a bitch just because he is an anarch.
