The next part of my plan will prove to all concerned that it was indeed a woman who jumped from the ship and joined some of rocklands most prominent citizens on the docs. Namely, one of the antrim actresses who was cast in this latest titanic remake. Real makeup and the like will allow her to give live statement to the press to prove she is not in fact a man.

The few of us left have been protecting the area and making improvements, making the area safer! Hell NOTHING has happened AT ALL in the past 3 months. Which is a total record for Rockland"

We really should get an official governing council back in place now to adjudicate different areas of responsability to and begin focus the community on its problems to solve. We should invite all the clan leaders and gangbosses to a regularly schedualed meeting to decide some approaches to the developing situations.
Apparently the county needs some new bisness to fill The Corporations niche. We should try an drecruit some of our own choosing before another branch of The Corporation comes in to set up a third powerbase in our county. Better to have the buisnesses under anarch control then theirs.

A council of all the clan leaders... What a brilliant idea... Except we had 4 vampires from Rockland here last month... 4... 3 Toreador and a Brujah. Unless I missed someone.
Everyone else moved.
The ironic thing is - everything is peaceful and everyone moved away.
Apparently vampires LIKE drama. There is no other way to explain this.
Seriously, we freaken put Pentax down, (Or whatever name for them we're using this month - feel free to change the name.) everything is quiet, and EVERYONE left.
Let us consider the facts. That boat was sinking for a near hour off the coast. We left. I was freaken summoned back to the wreckage of the boat 45 minutes later. Apparently people would rather be ON A BOAT that is sinking than to do the reasonable thing and get off the freaken shipwreck.
Mortals started drowning so I needed to have my influence save them all and now I need to cover it up because an hour later kindred are still on the boat, starting fights with the ambulance, getting themselves caught on camera and breaching masquerade in public.
Let's consider the facts people... If the boat is sinking... GET OFF THE DAMNED boat.
Did you notice that every single one of the out of towners stayed on the boat, while everyone except one person who lives here left boat.
Do you see what I'm getting at. These people LIKE drama. They cause it by just sitting around on a sinking ship, while the mortals who are terrified of all these breaches are going and drowning themselves.
If V is still a resident, my apologies and you can include him in my rant.
However I'd like to note our numbers as of last meeting who are living in Rockland include:
3 Toreador,
1 Brujah,
1 Malkavian?,
0 Venture,
0 Gangrel,
0 Assamite,
0 Tremere,
0 Followers of Set,
0 Tzmitisish.
0 Nosferatu,
0 Giovanni,
0 Catiff,
If I'm missing any, it doesn't really matter, you see my point.
Meantime we are still holding Rockland with the help of outside gangs, and it's beyond peaceful.
But yes I do believe we should build a new power plant, if only we had the numbers to protect it. |

Alura if you wish to build the power plant then ok, you and i both know with the proper influences it can be rebuilt and staffed and protected by the other influences of the city.
Now as far as people who live in the city, i wish to announce my grand return here, i had one crazy summer...oh how i could regale you with the stories. So you can add me to your list, i hope your list includes Eric and V who are both residents of the city.
But to what i imagine will be the big issue of the day, is obviously the sinking of the boat, now we all can understand you position of protecting mortals, but i saw that news report and it seemed way too fishy. most news reports would focus on the fire and use the helicopter shot instead of focusing on a small problem that the coast guard would have shunned the camera man getting oh so close and personal with V.
I believe that some kindred with media influence told the reporters to specificly focus on V. I Imagine that he was the target of this media attack. Now my next question is do either of you have this kind of influence?

OOC: I presume some npc's are still present in the county, jade for example as a gangrel
Charles in cluding them as cabinet members at least until we recruit pc's enough for the task. I still prefer pc controlled government to one with only npc's in charge, but more than willing for npc's to fill the niche in the mean time jjust s we can have the right structure back again.

It's not really peaceful, it's just the calm before a storm. Once we get everything working again, I expect people will move back. It's just the lack of any real structure at the moment that is disharteneing. Now we neither have elders in charge nor a beaurcratic repuclican government where the peoples representetives are communally making decisions. We need citizens to feel the vested interest they all have in this count yby giving them tangible evidence they are participating in the building of it by having members of their clan and gang in cabinet.

Except we didn't really. We planned to, but then arrives on scene to find the place purged and consecrated by another party. As if mage hunter weren't bad enough thst time, now angelic hunters are scouring around our neigborhood, and we don't even have a central government in place to direct a group effort? If people are feel like they must fend for themselves instead with the the strenght of the community, then it makes better sense to simply get out of harms way.

Allura. They were trying to fix he boat first as I hear it told. It was a Bardonia boat. One we paid a deposit on up front. Besides which al those mortals were on the boat too. Apparently it was a sublte enough expolsion an sink form the middle so that folks didn't even notice the trouble at first. We only did because we were right on top of the blast when it happened.

or by playing nines on a sinking ship. Why were there mortals on boar din the first place? It should have been empties if were having a gathering there. Unless they were meant as herd stock. That, or weren't they all bardonia retainers. I think that makes them breach proof, no? Its the mortals watching FOX, that are the problem now.

1 Brujah,: 4, alex was only one present, buy amy, and summer stil llive here, and I don't know if bobby bazooka will ever be back, but I think he might be lurking around at times.

0 Venture,: There are still baby bardonias about, no, I'm not sure who does and doesn't still live here, but potentials include Ulric, Detric, Vincint, Omari, Lavana,
0 Gangrel,: Jade still lives here. I'd still like to try and pursuade Rhapsody if at all possible to come back to the Bardonia Barony.
0 Assamite,: Good for now; do these come in anarch?
0 Tremere,: Good for now; there all Cam anyway.
0 Followers of Set,: Sid still Lives here.
0 Tzmitisish.: Good for now, these are sabbat, or pre-cam elders in romania.
0 Nosferatu,: Billy is one, he was there.
0 Giovanni,: Good for now. I'd rather we get the barony back into working order and strong before once again opening buisness negotiations with independent clan.
0 Catiff,: Good for now. This lot has to be mollycoddled more often than not, and again, right now it's important we recruit strong and powerful new citizens. Once Bardonia Barony is again a haven against the threats of the greater world at large, I suspect many Catic will flock here to take refuge from their harsher persecutors of Cam and Sabbat.

Not really. You seem to be saying "because we don't have all the representetives yet, lets not bother to set up a representetive government. I'm countering by saying, let's restore the representetive government first, and open positions therein may entice some to settle here who wish to represent.

Allura, i've seen this tactic used before. If not actually sen it I've studdied it done, and read of it, a lot. The enemy halts the attack for a season or a year either lull the target into complacency with faulse sense of security, or else to sweat them into weakness with fear of awaiting the pending horror to come, in hopes that panic will cause stupid decisions that give the enemy an advantage.
This "peace" is only the calm before the storm. We should be using it build up in anticipation of the next wave.

No Way!!!
At least not unless you mean in the city itself, which has its own set of problems.
That park is a nature preserve and is not meant to have buisness in there or trash dumps. It's finally pristine again. I say we leave it be and focus our efforts where they belong. On urban re-developement. That's where people need jobs and without a long commute.
Besides, I'd rather invest in clean energy facilities than fossle fuels or nuclear plants, and the best kind of energy production this days, is roof top mounted solor and wind combonation that fit on private homes and buisnesses with extra power flowing back into the grid. If Rockland is facing any kind of enery shortage on acount of being one plant down, we can make up the difference, and by good pr, by making rooftop energy facilites a part of the urban re-developement plan.

I agree, though not neccessarily that the agrgessor is Kindred, but potentially. Between trying to frame Almina directly with us, and orchestrating a media circus to create such a severe and widespread breech that the cam are likely to have no choice but to react to...
Someone is desperatly trying to instigate a sect war. They want the Anarchs and the cam to thin each others ranks, maybe take one side down completley, so as to more easily wipe both of us off the map. We can not allow this.
I'd say it was the sabbat, but they don't often have influence enough to arrange such things. This makes the hunters the more likely candidate. Though The Corporation plaed a game with us before to pit us and the Garou against each other. In hindsight probably an attempt to get that land they build the plant on. As we've taken them down wice already, they too might be thinking to thin the opposition before trying to move back in. Actually, I wouldn't even put it past certain members of the cam to have done this either to provide the pretext to wipe us out, or else because they'd know we'd have to unite with them against "the common enemy" which gives them an opportunity to manipulate us to their own ends or try and recruit us, or demand payment or favors from us in exchnage for their help agianst "the common enemy".
There are so many possibilites. We need to begin by narrowing the field down.

errr, actually this place is Bardonia property.
I just picked it for the meeting place on whim instead of my gallery.
Actually I had thought Omarii was gone for good in France, having left in shame after his failed bit with the innitiave, and Detric or Ulric were running the place now.
I'm otherwise a Bardonia loyalsist ya see, and part of my new shtick of getting Rockland County Anarchs back into the habit of stuff, is that where common social gatherings can take place anywhere, Burujah, Malkavian, Toreador, Setite/Giovani owned clubs and properties etc., The official buisness of the county meetings should be held in a Bardonia establishment. Like having Town Hall meetings always at the town hall, it helps build sense of unity amongst the community and "Towne Spirit". I want to try and rebuild the sense of 'patriotism' we used to have in this community. "Barony Spirit". So I figured we'd meet in a Bardonia establishmnet.
I also wanted to show it as Neutral territory. I figured meeting in the gallery might foster a mistaken impression that the toredor are trying to consolodate the seat of government under them instead of as equally representational, so I figured instead of a toreador property, or brujah or malk, we'd use Bardonia propert as technically speaking they actually count as catiff everywhere else outside our borders, so it would help show that no one clan is being given preferential consideration by the barony.

Anyone who lives in town and has access to media could have repositioned my efforts. So could have anyone at the station. Mortals tend to focus in on breaches, it's like candy to them. Accidental or not. I'm not so worried about it. I'm covering it up as always.
As for a public gathering of 1 representative of each clan, it seems like a really good idea in theory. I'm just worried about well making it work. It would take a lot of security and protection and rules and making sure a fight didn't break out. It would be much like the UN but with vampires. Not all sects like to talk as much as we do either. Although it would be a public forum for everyone to be heard.
I'm glad to see you are moving back to Rockland. The media was originally sent to cover up breaches and the boat sinking. The money given wasn't a deposit. It was to cover damages. I offered to cover all damages before hand and my offer was turned down. You know as well as I do that if you host a party anywhere, expect that there is a decent chance your location is going to be blown up. This isn't anything new. |

Well, if the Baron and the elders could pull it off...
They left because all the rest were clamouring how they could get along just fine without the Baron and the elders making the decisions for them.
They decided basically to "Oh yeah? Well go on and prove it !" and got out of the way.
Unless this lot is wiiling to admit to being wrong and invite them back...
I'd rather try and prove we actually can do it, can carry on with things on our own.
That means we need ot maintain our own discipline, and not keep going off in seperate directions. We need ot reconsolidate ourselves under the one banner of Rockland County.

i understand your ideals for a restructuring of things..personally asking for reps of the clans sounds WAY to cam for me...and i have a good feeling that alot of people in the city would be very opposed to that idea, ya know food for thought.
