I am not stepping down, I am going to be away (as has been said many times over the past few months) due to work. I leave June 10th and do not return until late August. Due to the downsize in staff there currently is no ability to run game to my satisfaction while I am away. My version of the charter does offer people the right to vote on the staff.

If you would like to vote on a new HST please submit names here and a time and date (normally it would be next game, and people can meet then and soft RP and hold a vote, I will send my vote by proxy if that is the case).

Please feel free to update yourself on the voting process by re reading the charter.

Not a new HST outright, but I'd like a temporary acting HST for next quarter so we can keep going while you are away. The angls can hav gone to ground for a few months and we'll lave that plotline til lyou are back, but we have enough PC driven stuff to last us a bit. I would reccomend Maks as acting HST. He's driving a bunch of plot alreay and pushing/aiding in pc plot developments. We can continue thesebits of developement for the next few months. I'd ask us to vote to confirm him asHST for summer '10 and then in autumn you resume the post.

i would like to step up as narrator to keep the st's that people choose from misbehaving.. you all know i speak my mind when i see somthing wrong and haveing a temp staff to have us play is the way to go.. even if its not me im still going to make sure the st's are on their toes

Whoever will be acting hst will hand pick narrators who they feel are knowledgeable with regard to specific areas. I.e I would have a combat narator; a logistics naorator, and a npc coordinator/ast. This is a functional model. A naorator isn't supposed to argue with the st; they are supposed to excecute their job function and make limited rulings. Since I don't have a PC based out of Utrecht at this time; I have no direct conflict of interest in doing the job. I will not fight for this Job, because I'm only offering due to my ability to run a game (and I'm not sure there are many others in our roster that are qualified to do so in ilanas absense) this is not an attack on anyone, just my assessment.

ILANA, you are to remain hst, but we all want game til you get back. That is all.

I understand wanting game while I am gone and am okay with that. The problem is I am not okay with having to clean up another mess, I still haven't finished sorting through all that happened previously. The break helps with that as well. It gives me time to sort through all the past EOGs and plots and so on that I am STILL getting. I have cleaned up most of the plots and initiated some new ones.

I have no problem with a new HST taking my place. However if a new one if voted in, I am not returning. I am not risking having to clean up again. Also, I am sorry Maks, but if I thought someone would be able to run game in my absence well I would have asked them to be on my staff. I do not think the game will be run to MY satisfaction in my absence. I welcome people to disagree with me, but if another HST is voted in place they will be taking my place because I will step down.

I'm sure Maks wont make a mess of things, eg, change the rules in any way, like quan.

Even if not to satifaction, it's only to be run at all for summer quarter is what we're looking for.

Maks was on staff with you at the beginning of UTR so it can't get to out of hand/control for another founder to hold the fort for a couple of months versus someone who wasn't a founder and so might mess things up (as far as 300 years worth of backstory is concerned or other management issues for OOC perspectives)

Since Evan is rarely about, it would be Maks and/or Bruce as the other two founders/creators of UTR.

This last mess was created in the first place because the ST staff we elected you to replace all came after the founding of UTR and wouldn't listen to "old guard" suggestions or criticism who knew what they were talking about.

Maks wouldn't have that problem as he's from that same pool of folks.

Why not work together to keep game going for the summer.

To Ilana:

I don't think anyone wants you to permanintly step down from being hst. I think we can do side stuff and be safe without leaving you a mess to clean up when you get back. I can help at least up until NYRF starts in August.

I can run full sideplot and it would generate no mess.if you want contact me for proposal ilana. I don't want the job. Trust me. I just figgured I could help since I am more then capable of holding things down seamlesly as well as help you get back on track by sorting through pc requests and doing baseline updates.

But again if this is unwanted then forget I offered.

I think that the internet sucks for having conversations. And i think that people talking in person is way cooler.

I don't think anyone wants Ilana to step down in any fashion, if not for her we wouldn't have a game anymore.

I look back and regret burning out and even stepping down, i'm sorry i failed you all as a founding HST.

I'll speak for no one else but myself and say that i know first hand the shitstorm she went through, and can fully understand not wanting to do anything like that ever again.

As it stands in the last few months since she took game over i've never seen more PC to PC involvement ever in UTR, and it makes me a lil teary eyed to see it finally get to that point. There is finally plot that the pcs have made and its the big issue(baroness...etc).

I think some brainstorming is in order to see if there are other options besides no game for 4 months...

Maybe PCs can understand that during this quarter they should focus on character development through RP and less on the requiring of an ST to babysit or provide shiny plot hooks.

Maks and I have no PC based in this game, we don't even get xp for coming. Its the story and the players that bring us to the game month after month. Its the time and effort we put in in the past that makes us wanna do whatever makes everyone happy.

Thats my 10 cents.

ok i vote for no one being a st till allana can come back and choose herself,, i do vote for me and mak's being temp narrators till we talk and get plot form llana.. then we bring in small npc's or oyu to kill and some to talk to and give you fun for 4 months.. then when she gets back if she likes the small things maybe she will keep us on but either way it will be small to insure no crazy shit happens
