This morning we had an incident at my place. My brother woke up and found a bedbug squirming around on his mattress. He confirmed his worse fears that in fact, there is a bed bug infestation in his room. Our room. I thought nothing of it. While he did stay at someone's house in White Plains not to long ago, I imagined that he only transported them with him after sleeping on his friends couch. (The couch was tossed out the day after). Sure enough, to my horrid dismay, I found some on my bed as well...only there were hundreds. Each of them found squirming around after lifting my mattress. Eggs, larvae, fat, skinny; all the creepy critters skittering around. While it never occurred to me that my waking up with horrible itching at night was not a cause for alarm, I never would have imagined these blood-suckers to be the source. I'm here writing this moments after my discovery and I'm getting the chills just thinking about it. And itchy. We tossed my bros bed and frame out and I'm about to 86 mine. Guys...I implore you, nay COMMAND you all to check under and around the edges of your beds, cracks in the wall, dressers, cabinets, outlets...anywhere 10-15 feet away from where you tuck yourself in (or get tucked in) at night. I don't know if I'm even going to sleep now. _________________ "Grrr...we're warriors, Kakarot. Not ballerinas!" - Vegeta to Goku in hell; before fusion dance.

We had an infestation about 7 months ago at my apartment. My Mrs. quickly moved out. They're pretty horrendous.
Bill Clinton had them too. XD |

That sucks. U will need to bomb your room and maybe change carpet too. Make sure any new mattress you leave in or buy a plastic cover. Its not easy getting rid of them. |

Agreed. Took us months to get rid of them. Covers are a must. |
