"I wouldn't say in love with them," he replied, lying back and putting his head on her lap once more. "When I was little, I really liked them. Things happened, and I kinda forgot about them. But after getting changed, I realized that there might be a lot of things that are supposed to be fictional that really exist."

"That's definitely true....werewolves, vampires, faeries, magic-y people. I always used to set up little houses and such in mushroom faerie rings for them as a little girl. Didn't sit well with my family, they were kind of religious nuts." She paused. "So I know this is probably pushing it, but how did you get changed?"

He frowned slightly, his hand coming up to idly play with Faye's hair. "A man that I... lived with turned me. Back when I worked in a brothel. He offered to take me away from there, have a good life on his estate... It sounded great at the time."

"It was a mixed crowd," he said, not phased at all by her words. "Mostly women that worked there, but some guys too. Had both for clients too. It wasn't bad, really. Made decent money, had a roof over my head, food, my own room. It was one of those upper class private places. I'm not cheap," he grinned. But it faded quickly again.

"Not at all how it worked out." He frowned faintly. "I don't mind telling you, but... another time, if that's okay."

"What about us?" Faye looked puzzled and tilted her head to the side. "I'm pretty darn sure he's straight, actually scratch that, I'm positive. And according to you, my age makes it hard to understand relationship-y things" She laughed, then paused, then looked slightly horrified. "OMG, you meant are we..together didn't you? No, he's like my dad!"

Morgan just started laughing. "Well, consider it as you answered multiple questions, then," he said, grinning. "And I didn't say your age made relationship understanding hard, I said it would explain why attempts at certain relationship types didn't quite work out. And I imagine you've at least mentally aged since then," he added, teasing.
